The Fashion Week Dallas extravaganza continued Thursday with three runway shows. Can it get any better?
The first show featured hats and headpieces designs by It’s Lynette. I met the designer, Yvette Lynette Lax, at the Carpe Diem Bride show at Fashion Week Dallas. We bonded over our love of hats and headbands (my signature accessory!). I was so impressed by her uniquely beautiful hats. Bows and flowers were featured in most of her hats. Check out It’s Lynette on her website and at Etsy.
Also featured was Emmaline by Sophia Clarke from Houston. Her collection was inspired by the sunset and the islands. Many of the looks included rich shades of orange and pink. There was an easy, breezy feel to the collection that I loved. The finale of the night was the Sacred Hearts Collection by Brandi Russell from Dallas. Her clothes were beautiful and detailed with lots of pleating and ruffles. She obviously has a huge following because the crowd couldn’t contain themselves when the designer, Brandi Russell, walked the runway at the end of the show.
Fashion Week Dallas 2012 was so much fun. It’s gonna be a long year until Fashion Week Dallas 2013! I hope I survive. ;)
